Hi All!
So, I'm finally done :-)
Is there any testing I can do without the RF board?

Hi Ulf,

you can do a button and encoder test procedure. You can test audio PA by switching to CW and pressing PTT (this must produce sidetone). And you can test CW decode function by connecting a paddle to dit and dah lines and transmit. That is all you can do without RF board.

OK... I'm looking on the diagram...… this is how I think:
1, apply 5 volts to IC 6 with limited current
2, read currents according to this page: https://www.amateurfunk-sulingen.de/wiki/doku.php?id=ovi40test:uiboardtest
3, IF currents OK... try load bootloader.

Is this correct?

Sorry, first time building non-analog stuff

Hi Ulf,

few steps before...

All ok - you are following the right path.

When current consumption is ok you first must load bootloader. This can be done by two different procedures:

1) via STLinkV2
2) via USB connection and DFUse Tools

When bootloader is installed you can (and must) install firmware. This can be done by the two procedures above and additionally (if you power USB plug with 5V) by USB memory key. I would propose to use one of the above steps for first time programming.

You don_t need google translator on most of the WIKI sides. They are already manually translated - you only must select the preferred language. Google translate is just a fallback for the few sides which are not translated...

Ok.... first smoke test:

I see 3,16 volts at chokes L2 and L3 and 60mA. Display board installed.

Could this be normal? Without any attempt to install bootloader?
