Hi Artur,

there you have done nice work - but it is "double" ::) We are already working on a PCB that connects those LCDs in parallel mode...

These PCB will carry bare LCD and serves 2mm header and 2.54mm header. It must carry touchscreen components, too. Formfactor of 3.5" LCD (only panel) is exactly matching formfactor of "old" 3.2" LCD with PCB...

Hi Artur,

looks nice - but I cannot tell you if everything is correct and / or working. And I cannot spend time in doing this ::)

The best way would be to produce one and give it a try!

Our PCB is finished and will not be changed (expect if faults are present).

What software did you use for designing PCB?

Very interesting for Windows-users! Price is absolute ok and if you do not have problems using closed-source software it is great.

I am using KiCAD on Linux.

That is a tool for taking existing PCBs as draw ::)

It makes it easy to integrate existing into new.

Hi,
the adapter board is under "heavy" development, i think i will have its alfa release by home brewing at end of this week.

Yes, there is support for SPI with new lcd but we are testing it. Now preparing also for parallel interface tests.

If there is a possibility to use parallel instead it is a very good idea to do this. At mcHF there is from the beginning a lack of free GPIOs so SPI is useful there. At OVI40 there is 144p package of MCU and enough free GPIOs to drive LCD in parallel and do have much free GPIOs for other purposes.

even for mchf i prefer parallel (no need for clock)

when the parallel is available i would like to try it on my mchf

On mcHF you have to kick off freedv and possibly more because of mcHF is out-of-RAM with 480x320 and additionally some new nice UHSDR features.
